Carmen Caruso of Caruso Amusement Company, opened Kiddieland at Lunken Airport in 1952 with 10 rides. The park operated through the 1960s.

Today, the Lunken Playfield and Recreation area features the Land of Make Believe play area and is home of the Leonard Shore Senior Citizens enter. The area also features a gold course, batting cages, tennis courts, a baseball field, a bicycle/walking course and a shelter house for picnics.
