| Dayton,
Ohio native Luzern Custer developed several amusement park rides,
including the Tippy Top, the Zoomer and the Swing Away. Probably
his best known creation was the Custer Park Car. A miniature automobile
with a metal body, hard rubber tubeless tires and four rechargeable
batteries for power. The ride was first distributed to amusement
parks beginning in 1925 but it is unknown when the Custer Park Car
made its debut at LeSourdsville Lake or when the ride was removed.
